Comments on Whedonesque

Mood extremley tired. Food - Stew Music - none Site updates - none as yet

http://www.whedonverse.co.uk/

As i said in my previous blog I am grateful to the person that posted a message on Whedonesque. I wondered where all the traffic was coming from for such a new website that has no advertising (still waiting for the site to be submitted to google and yahoo) I actually thought it was because I'd posted a comment on some of the stars myspace pages earlier in the day. 2600+ views since yesterday isn't too shabby. I also received an e-mail from Juliet Landau's producer asking me to submit her details onto the site. Over-whelmed at that point.

Anyway, I don't have a Whedonesque account so I thought I'd address some of those comments on here. Surprisingly most of them were positive and quite helpful.

1 There's too much red on the site - after taking this into consideration I agree with this person and so I have replaced the red text with a more subtle white.

2 I don't like the comic sans font. Actually, I do (obviously or I wouldn't have chosen it) Joss' work is very comic bookish and as we know he has delved into the world of comics on more then one occasion. The look and feel of the site is supposed to resemble a "giant comic book"

However if more then three people complain and I discover that "the majority" don't like this layout then of course I will consider changing it. BUT in the last day many more people have joined the site and the sister forum then the people who have left comments.

3 It's slow because of the coding on the first page. Really? I don't have the fastest broadband connection in the world and it works fine for me. In fact on more then one occasion sites like myspace and facebook have crashed and my computer has become unresponsive. So, far touch wood this hasn't happened on Whedonverse.

4 The Gallery. I much prefer this type of gallery as it lets me look for the picture I want to see and open it! Without having to trawl through a million photos with an arrow key. And this is the only layout that the service provider I use provides... so there's not much I can do about it even if I wanted to.

Thanks for visiting. Back to my regular blog tomorrow.
